Sorry for the basic question, but I can’t seem to get a consistent answer from AMEX over the phone, or find out online.
I currently have the BA classic AMEX and was thinking of getting to the 12k threshold to get the economy 241 voucher, then immediately upgrading to the BA premium plus AMEX to start accruing spend toward the 10k threshold to get the business 241 voucher, both this year before December (my classic Amex card year cycle is early Dec). Will this work? Or if I get to the 12k threshold on the classic card, will I need to wait until the classic card year ends to start accruing toward the premium plus voucher on the new card? In other words, does the card year start over if I switch?
Also, I assume I can’t hold the classic and the premium plus AMEX at the same time, and accrue towards the vouchers separately?
I was just told different things by two different AMEX reps on the phone… so hoping you can help!
No you can’t
what you can do is upgrade before hitting £10k spend and then you’ll get the better BAPP voucher and no you cant hold both – or at least you arent supposed to!
You could however be a supplementary on a partners card so a couple could get 2 vouchers per year
