Did trying looking for the answer but gave up 🤦🏻♂️
Does anyone know if this is possible.
For example book BA to LAX return on 241 vouchers, can you then ring up and add say SFO on AA to that trip itinerary?
So for example 1/1/25 LHR to LAX, 4/1/25 LAX to SFO, 7/1/2 SFO to LAX, LAX to LHR 7/1/25 which would mean 7/1/25 you can check in for SFO/LAX/LHR all in one go so bags are through checked?! Hope that makes sense??!
No.
Just not possible to mix cash and points tickets in this way especially when booked via two totally separate airlines
@Cashbox321 – I’m afraid it’s simple answer – no.
Thank you! I thought that would be too easy and a nice thing to do from BA but had to ask! Won’t gamble connecting on the same then. Cheers

Nothing to do with BA being nice or not.
It’s international ticketing rules that prevent it.
If you want internal connections on the same ticket they need to be booked together.
But in any case since you can’t use a 2-4-1 on AA flights it’s not going to happen anyway.
