Do 2for1 voucher bookings work the same with Virgin as with BA in that you can book the outbound on the 2for1 then book the return when it becomes available and have it added to the 2for1?
I have been told yes and this was confirmed by a call center agent. But I haven’t done it as my outbound had sold out.
Agent confirmed you can do it and they would reprice for free (assuming you tell them of your intentions when booking the outbound).
Yes you can and I did it fairly recently. You have to be careful as the agents aren’t always up to speed with how the 2-4-1’s work and how mnay points are needed.
Yes did it yesterday. Made it clear to agent I would be phoning back in 3 weeks time for the return flight when the seats come on sale and he assured me he had recorded that and would reprice for free just as ekposh said. All done in about ten minutes and no delay in the phone being answered either.
I am in the same boat, whatever happened to Virgin holding your seats for two weeks. Did I just land lucky with the agent I spoke to in past times?
So, its a case of being very explicit about your intentions of “adding” my return in two weeks time.

Agent has confirmed that making an outbound and then “ADDING” the return leg will be treated as its just been a return booking. All taxes etc will be the same.
Looking to do this for specific dates my outbound is available now
I would still need to ring up and hope the return hadn’t gone is this correct?
