Just wondering if I booked a holiday for two people in premium economy, can I phone virgin after to upgrade the flights for no additional points to upper class using my 241? (I have silver status). If so I assume just the difference in taxes applies and to do this in the first place there needs to be 2 reward seats in upper class.
Yes – exactly as described, @sturgeon. The easiest way to arrange this is to call Virgin Atlantic after you’ve booked with Virgin Holidays, and ask them to apply the voucher. You need G class to be available to get Upper reward seats – now that Expert Flyer has removed the ability to look at reward seats, the easiest bet is to call VS and ask if there’s availability. If using it is an important part of the trip, I would call first.
Great thank you. Seatspy does show availability for Virgin reward seats so I assume that will be the same as what Expert Flyer used to show? I’ll call regardless but how would I know if the UC seats were in the G category?
