Cancel card after triggering Barclaycard Upgrade Voucher?

Hi, can anyone confirm if I keep the voucher if I cancel the card after?

If I downgrade mid month, will the Avios earned so far be credited on the same date or are they voided? Will Barclaycard automatically link the paid card to the free card?

Everything stays the same, you just get a different card which will show in your account. One slightly odd thing I’ve noticed is that to then see my statements in the app, I need to select “All cards”, even though there’s only one – selecting the actual card produces no results.

Is there anything in the small print that says you must pay taxes on this card in order to use the voucher? I noted that in order to use the 2-4-1 companion voucher that American Express offers, you must pay your taxes on an American Express (any Amex will do)

No
