I have a 241 CE MAN-LHR-ATH later this year. BA have moved my LHR-ATH back a couple of hours which is a PITA.
Im conscious that they could change the flight further as they do possibly back in my favour.
Since booking Agean have a direct MAN-ATH in business which would work better & worth consideringCan I Canx my 241 outbound only and get 1/2 Avios back and taxes for that leg also given that they changed the time would they waive the £35 pp fee or do I have to Canx everything and rebook the original return leg subject to reward availability
Is your 2-4-1 issued after Sep2021 ie allows you to start your journey outside the UK? If so then you should be able to cancel the outbound for a refund of Avios and cash less £35 change fee
@AJA Unfortunately it’s an older one that was extended, in fact it expires the day of the outbound hence why I wanted to use and works as I have a cruise the next day.
I guess it just means spending more time in the lounge at LHR.Alternatively I could just fly the inbound assuming they wouldn’t cancel if I hadn’t flown the out bound?
Cancel the whole thing and just book std inbound reward & try and use 241 on another trip.
I actually had similar situation last year to BCN but BA Canx the flight so probably best to sit things out for now.If you don’t take the outbound leg, the whole ticket gets cancelled so I wouldn’t advise this.

Not enough min connection time on the first out of MAN unless we go the night before, who knows they will probably move the flight again. Bottom line is that flights were £200 with 54k Avios so just avail the lounge for a couple of extra hours is probably best option.
You should be able to get them to delete the outbound rebooked sectors if you haven’t confirmed their alternative yet, then fly the inbound and then get a refund of 27k Avios post travel. The half the voucher would be gone of course.

Email basically said if you’re happy don’t do anything but call if not. Just looked at the Aegean biz price £424 for 2 effectively let’s me leave 2 hours later and arrive 2 hours earlier but extra £324 after outbound BA refund. Think I’ll just sit right for now because as we know things can still change which is always as issue with reward flights as you have to grab so far in advance when you have a plan such as my cruise.
