Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Cancelled flight: rebooking options

I think I may have an answer to my question already but let me try anyway. You may have different experience and possibly something to back up my intention.

My BRU-LHR on 14/8 has been cancelled. Rebooking options were appalling so I booked a Eurostar train instead. Booking was with OB points so I can get that refunded easily, but…

I’m flying NAP-LHR on 7/8 (OB points again) and not sure what I was thinking when I booked it but the time doesn’t work for me really. I’m hoping it gets cancelled so I can rebook from FCO instead which is the closest airport to where I’ll be.

Now for the question: do you think I may be able to get the BRU-LHR cancelled flight on 14/8 rebooked for a FCO-LHR on 7/8? I know I have the right to choose whichever flight I like within reason… is this within reason? I would say no but have you ever tried and succeeded in having it changed like that?

    Thank you!

There is no way BA would change a BRU to FCO.

It’s well outwith their 300 mile rule when a flight has been cancelled.

Ok – I thought there may be a limit but not that little. Thank you
