Cannot online checkin

I hope everyone is enjoying their end of May holiday.

Ran into a problem with BA online checkin flying from Dubrovnik to LGW tomorrow.

The message says:
Sorry, we are unable to offer you Online Check-in for this particular route.

To check in and receive your boarding pass, please proceed to the airport.

Should I be concerned? Or is just one of the BA IT issues?

I will be flying on CE.

Out of interest, why don’t they offer online check-in in those regions? Is it because of regulations, etc.?

I thought I was a veteran of flying. My mum was a cabin crew member, and I heard many stories about standbying and ticketing.
Indeed, I learnt something new today.

@h24821807 – I believe it’s to do with the ability of the airports and ground handling agents to connect with BA and other airline systems. I think Split and Tirana are the same. Air Serbia redirected one to a different check-in system than their usual one for a departure from Tirana a couple of weeks ago so some airlines have found an alternative.
