Discuss today's stories:
I’ve tried from 2 different accounts. Page not found. Is anyone else experiencing the same?
I had the same error 404 message this time last week, then it popped up a couple of days later all of a sudden and we did some transfers last Sunday evening.
The 30% promo was due to end for purchases around now; I don’t think the workflow is the same but perhaps something going on behind the scenes?
When the transfer did work, it was instantaneous.
Still not working…
Keep getting the same error message:
Sorry, we can’t find the page you requested.
You may have received this message because this page you seek is no longer available on Marriott website.
Have been trying daily for over a week now, but same error message keeps being returned.
It’s more than a month since my last post on this subject and STILL the online transfer option is not working, returning exactly the same “Sorry, we can’t find…” error message. Is anyone else still finding the same?
I called up Marriott on Saturday in order to do a transfer over the phone, something I’ve done a fair few times over the last decade with no issues whatsoever. HOWEVER, this time the first agent gave me some spiel that she couldn’t do this any more for fraud reasons; I lost my patience, frankly, and HUACA-ed. The second (American) agent was lovely, but he also pretty much said the same thing, THOUGH he did make a request for my inter-account transfer and points arrived in my account today, i.e. three days later.
I also told the agent, in response to his question as to why I didn’t action the transfer online, that Marriott’s online transfer tool had been broken for at least two months and that Marriott needed to do something about it, especially as it is on various forums that the link is down.
Tbf I did think it was rather easy to port the points across and no surprise they’re putting in more controls (if fraud indeed the case). I think it was just a case of inputting first name, last name and Marriott number and they were gone and under a Marriott account under 1FA.
I agree to some extent, BUT… if Marriott agents are telling account holders that they need to perform inter-account transfers online (only) and that they cannot now be done over the phone, what are people meant to do then given that this online transfer tool has been broken for over two months now. That’s ludricrous.
