Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Change 1 way into return

  • 4 posts

I jumped on some MAN-MCO flights in upper class without knowing when we were returning.
Then after a couple of days we spotted some ATL-MAN and rang up to see if I could get the added?

I got a number of weird responses,
    1 – 1500 in extra taxes – I explained that is just 2 x 1 way flights and I won’t be paying that.
2 – They can only see Economy as I already have a booking!!!

It is clear this is a HUACA but can anyone help to confirm whether I can change a 1 way into a return?
The other option in my eyes is cancel the 1 way and rebook a return, but she wouldn’t consider that either.

    Any help gratefully received?

    Thanks

I’m not sure if yours is a redemption or cash booking….I recently changed a redemption one way into return…. I’ve done it before so I new it was possible. However the first agent I spoke to said I couldn’t the 2nd said something similar and that I would just have to buy an additional one way – although the cost of 2 x one ways is much higher in taxes than a return. The 3rd agent eventually agreed to help me and added the return leg to the booking – but it was hard work getting to that point.
