In an effort to maintain gold 😉 my husband has managed to breach his Amex credit card limit. What is the easiest remedy, to make an extra payment or apply to increase the limit?
If they’ve let him actually breach it then it’s not much of a limit, but that’s not what you asked. I would pay enough immediately to get the balance below the limit, then try calling to a) apologise and b) politely enquire about an increase.
Applying for an increase while overdrawn so to speak is a bit of a one way road to nowhere if declined.

Just make a payment. I breached in June and made a payment before the charge moved from pending to confirmed.
Within the App, make a payment directly from his bank account. Use the normal account used to pay the card. Do not use any other account if you can avoid it. It must be an account in his name to avoid a flag being raised.
