Just out of interest, how often do QR change flight schedules, i have a booking that has changed on the return leg, leaving me with a layover in Doha of 8 hours, originally 1 hour 50 minutes, the Al Mourjan Lounge is pleasant, but?
Good morning from KLIA,en route to Singapore. Had 5 lovely days in KL at Hilton, lovely hotel, great location. We arrived here last Wednesday on BA33. When we got to hotel I realised I had left a pouch with my hearing aid among other things in it.The next morning I emailed KLIA lost property. Had a reply within 30mins saying Property Found. I noticed it was a different email. It asked me to pay 16 dollars and “they didn’t mind if I wanted to add a tip”. Scrolling down further it said the item would be shipped from Kansas !!!We decided to go out to KLIA,and there the Lost Property said they only deal with property loat in the airport, I would have to contact BA and their office only opened when a flight was in. By sheer luck, BA33 was about to land so someone was there. I spoke to them and confirmed my seat number ( I had left it in the drawer under the seat) and they had my pouch .Absolutely delighted. We went to.collect it, showed the ‘property found’ th the BA staff and they confirmed that it was a scam. So glad we followed our instinct and went out to KLIA.
Why is everyone in such a rush to call everything a scam nowadays? Hearings aids & wireless headphones are some of the most commonly lost items in air travel. Have you ever seen a lost property vault at a hub airport? The electronics section has ballooned.
Lost my third pair of headphones last month, identical result: got a mail within an hour I could come pick them up and pay a $25 fee or have them shipped. They probably have hundreds of the same make & model on file, not necessarily mine, but how would they know that and what would they care. At many of these airports the systems have changed for item storage, from time/date filing to itemization. Don’t blame them. Bought a new pair.
The fact that the email came from a different email, they were asking to be paid in USD and the item was going to be shipped from Kansas and not Kuala Lumpur rang a few bells. The email address was not recognised by the BA Staff.
Aha, an authentic scam experience! I would’ve paid good money for that! Can’t blame a £300 a month KUL airport worker seeing this scenario unfold everyday with us careless Westerners for trying.
Jokes aside, glad you got them back :).
Good morning from QR965 DPS-DOH Business class approximately 3 hours into the flight. When I booked the reward fare, it was a 1-2-1 configuration. I then got very excited when it changed to QSuite and then a bit disappointed when it changed again to the 2-2-2 configuration. Despite this, the experience so far has been excellent. Huge amounts of leg room, decent enough lie flat bed and excellent service. Entertainment not as good as emirates but you can’t win them all. We have an 11 hour layover in Doha so have booked a room at the Hyatt Regency close to the airport with a view to spending a bit of time there and possibly going out to a mall.
The inflight Wi-fi is excellent!

All the time, and change planes just as often. Why not book a tranist tour, the whale sharks or a transit hotel https://www.discoverqatar.qa/transit-tours/
