Was up at 1am doing a second test run for Avios flights to Buenos Aires and nothing came up – not a single ticket in any class. I thought it was suspicious to find zero reward availability for 11+ months out but wondered if it was like Tokyo which sells out immediately. I know that the flight stops in GRU on the way – and that flight shows relatively good availability. Same for Santiago de Chile. Any idea what is going on with EZE?
Good morning from the Continental hotel in De Panne, Belgium. Good 3* hotel with the key things done well (clean, everything topped up, communal areas spotless). Can’t comment on breakfast as we bought from the local bakeries.
The kids have had a wonderful few days here – wonderful beach, great dunes and never crowded. Only a few English voices heard in our time here. Overall the town has a nice chilled-out feel to the place. Definitely recommend if a North Sea/Channel/La Manche Coast break is what you’re looking for.
A cheap tram means Oostend isn’t far away, too.

Go with Iberia! Choice of three daily flights to EZE, better service, food and wine and changing in Madrid doesn’t add any travel time vs the BA stopover in Brazil (is it now via GRU again?). Buenos Aires has of course also become ridiculously over popular as a destination.
Morning all, got good upper class flights in / out jfk, in sept/oct but as I’m going to be spending time in NYC, LA and possibly Las Vegas aprox 5 days in each location should I book via booking.com and get lots of Avios or consider staying with one hotel chain.
I normally only use / collect avios and virgin points to spend on long haul flights which is important to me
Appreciate any advice
Thank you

Would love to but they only ever release 2x biz tickets per flight and we are a family of 4, so would need to go on 2 different flights.. doing the maths it doesn’t even save me any Avios (have multiple Barclays vouchers to use).
What day of the month do BAPP avios transfer over to the club? Is there a fixed day?
Mine go over around the 2nd of the month, I can’t remember if it’s related to the statement date though.
I believe it’s a few days before the statement date, but not sure if there’s an exact relationship. It’s definitely different for different people.

We’ve been looking daily at flights to EZE, GIG and other South American destinations for next year, but will be flying from MAD. What we have seen when searching is there are still BA business tickets coming up daily to and from GIG but only via MAD for EZE. As it’s a tag flight, the plane usually empties out at GIG so usually easy to get an Avios ticket between the two. We thought BA might be thinking of terminating the flight at GIG, hence no tickets. However Avios tickets are still available between GIG and EZE for next summer. So looks like it could be BA IT and you’ll have to call. If other people are having similar issues, you might be lucky!

Mine go around 20th of month, statement date around 25th.

Stops in Rio, much more popular, but still weird
