Good morning from Ubud!
Checked in last night and were upgraded to a Deluxe Terrace Pool Villa. I think the pool is a little bigger than the one in the non-Deluxe Villa. Not as big as Oberoi’s though!
Breakfast was great, now we’re heading off to the town. Weather isn’t great today but at least it’s stopped raining.

Where are you staying? I stayed at Alila Ubud for a week in a valley villa, overlooking the forest canopy in June 2022 and didn’t have any rain, the humidity was high though, June is one of the lowest months for inclement weather, so you should be ok now, be interesting what you think of Ubud town, i though it was a little meh.

We’re at Viceroy Bali, also got a villa overlooking the forest with a private infinity pool.
It’s dry season but we hit jackpot – poured last night and has been raining on and off this morning.
Morning all. I have a trip to the US for work that has been put back from this week to mid July. I was planning on using my Amex abroad dining credit this weekend.
I do have a few days holiday in NYC late July – anyone know of anywhere in NYC where you can buy gift cards now, that would trigger the abroad spend please?

Morning. My RJ Saphhire (silver) status match expired in March and was downgraded to bronze. Received a note yesterday from sm.com offering an extra year (to 30th June 26) of sapphire for $350\£250 which i promptly took. Waiting for it to flow thru. Offet Was only valid until 30th June.

I stayed at Viceroy last year. How are you finding it? Never really stayed anywhere with a private pool before. The place was spotless.
There was so many staff, and nothing was ever any trouble. I’m assuming it’s still the same. The owner, the Australia lady is nice to talk to also.

Hello – I was in Ubud last year. If you are after restaurant recommendations we really enjoyed Nusantara and Honey and Smoke. Enjoy your trip!
