    Not sure where to post this so will add here – Did anyone else notice that booking com has disapeared from TopCashBack? If so when did this happen? It’s offers have also disapeared from my MBNA credit card that has various cashback offers on. Maybe they realised so many people already using booking they don’t need to be paying out any cashback anymore!

    Greetings from the Al Mourjan lounge in Doha! Which is eerily quiet at 4.30am, there wasn’t even a queue for the showers!

    Yesterday I was supposed to fly LHR-CDG-AMM-DOH, only due to French ATC strikes my LHR-CDG flight was cancelled. BA said they can’t rebook with Eurostar, so booked that myself. Then GWR cancelled my train into London, so I missed my Eurostar! Got a later one to Lille, then mad dash between Lille Europe and Lille Flandres stations, TGV to Paris, and RER out to CDG.

    Royal Jordanian continue to have an impressive way of doing food in business. Big trolley that they wheel down the aisle, you can see the food, and have as much of as many options as you want. Very tasty food too. Lounge in Amman – bit less so….

    For anyone who’s done a status match to RJ, give them a try! But don’t expect a Doha style lounge on your layover in Amman

    Schoooool’s-out-for-SUMMER!!

    Morning, All – any Loganair experts?!
    I’d like to get an Avios ticket for a family member: is there
    any easy/immediate way to do this, bearing in mind I won’t be accompanying him?

    A highly unreliable source said adding him to my BA “family and friends”
    would do it, but no…

    Off to pack/buy P20 for sweaty Shanghai on Thursday!!

    Spent the time waiting for the 6am -7am Sainsbury’s delivery slot calculating how many life insurance policies I need to take out in order to carry out BJ’s eccentric suggestion for getting to Bangkok for £600.
    Eventually realised I’ve got less friends and family than the requisite number of policies.

    Which was quite annoying, but not as annoying as finding my chocolate eclairs crushed by the 2kg bag of Maris Pipers that had been thrown on top of them in the basket.

    I had been really looking forward to the eclairs.
    They came with a bonus 20 nectar points.

    @BJ
    how many replacement chocolate eclairs do I need to order for friends and family in order to get to South East Asia?
