It’s particularly annoying that there are 2 airlines operating MAN-MCO, but none to MIA any more. MCO is a long way from anywhere except theme parks and golf courses!
Getting the Brightline from MCO to the centre of Miami would probably be better than having to deal with Miami immigration though.
@Gordon however I stretch things I can’t blame MAN’s management or PR team for that 🙂
I was going to add a disclaimer as an after thought, on behalf of the management at MAN, but it was too late to edit ☹️
In the Amex lounge at Wimbledon, unexpected freebie was the bus from the station to the Grounds, complimentary if you have an Amex. This lounge really should be restricted to Amex cards with an annual fee, would reduce the queues I think. Saw lots of people come in with some version a card with no annual fee
Has anyone got any experiences of transiting at Riyadh on two separate tickets (so clearing immigration).
Its a way of using all the vouchers I have whilst spending the minimum number of avios.
Spent the time waiting for the 6am -7am Sainsbury’s delivery slot calculating how many life insurance policies I need to take out in order to carry out BJ’s eccentric suggestion for getting to Bangkok for £600.
Eventually realised I’ve got less friends and family than the requisite number of policies.Which was quite annoying, but not as annoying as finding my chocolate eclairs crushed by the 2kg bag of Maris Pipers that had been thrown on top of them in the basket.
I had been really looking forward to the eclairs.
They came with a bonus 20 nectar points.
@BJ how many replacement chocolate eclairs do I need to order for friends and family in order to get to South East Asia?
Just make them up. You are just buying cheap points
We have had several imaginary cats for the pet insurance deals. Sadly they always die after 5 months
Yep, lost Houston, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Newark and more that I can’t remember.
They glossed over the fact that cargo movement (tonnes) is only 2/3rds what it was in 2017 despite all the investment in the cargo handling/storage.[/quote]
@davefl LAX! That’s the one I’d love to see come back
Not Points related but I’ll mention it seeing as only recently there was a thread on the destination forum relating to a popular Seaside town. We are quite yorkshire centric today with the Hyatt Article also.
Greetings from Scarborough where the sun has finally come out. There is Naval Warfare in Peasholm park and the Script are performing at the open air theatre. Oh, and I’ll be having fish and chips later.
So my woes continue. Having arrived at La Rochelle airport my flight is delayed by 3 hours currently ) .There is no later FlixBus ( to get me home to Wales )that I can book onto so I am essentially stranded in Bristol. Can I legitimately book a taxi from BRS to home and bill Ryanair as they were my initial carrier ? I am cheesed off beyond belief.
Last time I was in Scarborough was in 1987 when we went for a day trip after we’d finished our finals at Teesside Poly. Before that it was family day trips.
Interesting fact is that when a MP wants to resign they get appointed to either being Steward of the Manor of the Chiltern Hundreds or Steward of the Manor of Northstead.
The latter is in Scarborough and both Peasholm Park and the Open Air Theatre are with in its limits
Hi all. I am £600 away from my latest companion voucher, spend by 17th August. If I spend the £600 by EG the end of next week and I then cancel my card, re applying a couple of weeks later will I get a new ‘year start’ date for my card? The reason being I want to purchase a ticket to Aus which will be about a third of my required yearly spend to get my next voucher

In principle yes but you will have a fight on your hand.
