Also if you have any MR, transfer them over and get them inflated by 35% (or whatever the forex is doing). Most of the conversion rates are the same
Thanks Swiss Jim, just nice villages with decent pubs/restaurants and some decent treks for someone with a dicky knee.
The Vine at Great Bardfield. Not sure of its credentials as a boozer, but if there were Michelin stars for gourmet burgers this place would have it. Absolutely amazing.
Nearby Finchinfield is also very picturesque with a pub overlooking the Green

Dedham / Lavenham (Suffolk), Holt / Burnham Market (Norfolk). Aldeburgh (Suffolk) too but not really a village. Lovely walks. Pubs too.
Dedham is Constable Country. Walk to Flatford where the Hay Wain was painted. I could even buy you a drink!
I second Dedham, acres to walk about, dogs are allowed, be careful not to step in cow shite, plenty of that about, you can hire a boat for a trip along the river, nice coffee shop on site, also in dedham high street, the Marlborough pub has a great food menu, also clotted cream scones, I’m a regular visitor in the summer.
