What is it with these hotels that seem to have the bath in the bedroom ? Where does that mean the toilet and washbasin are, will they be in a separate little room ?
I’m looking at loads of hotels in Khao Lak in Thailand and I am having to drill down into every one, and scour various sites for pictures and photos to find out where they have put the bath. Perhaps I’m old fashioned but it seems odd to put the bath in the bedroom, I really don’t fancy that.
@Misty, that’s when they call it a “soaking tub” 😂. I can’t imagine wanting a bath anywhere tropical though!
I’m happy as long as the bathroom walls and doors are opaque, though this seems rarer and rarer these days. Do they not think when they design these rooms that there’s not only a privacy issue but the light shines into the bedroom?!
Latest culprit was the HIX AGP, which in most other ways was a gem for £63!

If you are looking at khao lak check out little shore we stayed last year at it was amazing 3rd floor room with its own private swim up pool. We had another hotel booked which we found out had building work when we arrived moved to little shore and had an amazing time, would go back there in a flash. Khao lak is great value for money compared to phuket
Any recent data points on how long it takes to receive the Barclaycard voucher from triggering it in the credit card app?
@BBbetter I think they quote 72 hours or something of that nature, but so far mine x 4 have always appeared overnight.
Most recent was January, but it has been consistent since they started.
Can anyone tell me if I can transfer avios to my daughter who is on my household account but has just got her own Amex PP card please?

Thank you!
Without paying the £50 fee?
Cheapest way is via Finnair (€10), but you’ll have to open an account and wait 90 days before being able to transfer avios.

Good Evening from the Hyatt Regency Blackfriars with the air con on full. Nice room, very quick and pleasant check in, toilet paper thin but stealable hangers.
Here for the Neil Young/Van Morrison/Cat Stevens Hyde Park Concert tomorrow.
Excellent start as Avanti gave the Standard Premium passengers a free sauna as the air con wasn’t working which I appreciated from my seat which was in full recline and couldn’t be moved. Onboard staff were great though handing out lots of free water (nothing else since train had no food nor drink on board). Why let a train like that out of the depot?
Anyway, concert should be good, assuming I don’t get knocked over by the increasing numbers of cyclists (& in my defence, if the cyclist who used expletive delitives to me, (a) I’m from the North & (b) I assumed the cycleway was one way so I didn’t look right!)
