Anybody booked reward flights on Qatar through BA. Looking to add seats but no option on BA MMB.
log into Privilege Club in Qatar airways and pull up your booking. You’ll be able to browse through the flight you’ve booked on Ba.com for the seats you want AND NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!!!
Thanks managed to find it. Can believe it’s free! With the cheaper fees on top of the £90 per seat BA charge starting to wonder if I’d of been better boosting Avios and flying outbound to Japan on Qatar even with the companion voucher.
Qatar is the way to go, I have 2 companion vouchers, and a BUV, but I’ve booked a redemption return flight on QR, Qsuite to SGN, it’s a far better experience than BA that’s for sure!
Qsuite to SGN
They were using an ex Virgin Australia plane on that route last year.
121 reverse herringbone. Looked similar to BA club suite.
Have they definitely switched it out to actual Qatar metal now?Anybody booked reward flights on Qatar through BA. Looking to add seats but no option on BA MMB.

Yes not only is seat selection free youll be getting much bettr seats and lounges. Although it feels ‘wrong’ or counterintuitive to buy avios (must be my upbringing!) if you do the maths it’s often better to boost or buy enough avios to spend on off peak QR redemptions than to put up with a ba flight service using 241 vouchers.

@Lady London BA CDG LHR 22.15 tomorrow €1004 -only J seats available ( I had to get to CDG and home from LHR at gone midnight). AF economy entailed non direct at £400 plus ( and getting home to Wales ) so that was a nonstarter too.
Ryanair to increase their small cabin bag size by 5cm.
I have travelling HBO down to a fine art and have a large range of Cabin Max backpacks / wheely bags to accommodate the different airline requirements, at least 10
I would respectfully put it to you that your needing to own 10+ bags suggests the opposite to you having this down to a fine art…
Ha ha! To clarify, this is for all 3 of us, myself, OH and son. Basically one bag for each variety of cabin bag size – BA, EasyJet, Vueling etc. underseat and some overhead locker. Can do a 2 week holiday for us all with no checked luggage which I thought was quite good going?

We’ve got BA MAN-LHR-HND but coming back HKG-DOH 3 nights then DOH-MAN.
On an ex Cathy 777 out of HKG then a 787-9 with the new q suite lite. Excited to try it and compare to BA.
It’s only going to be my second business experience after India this year. Did a similar trip a couple of years ago before I became a points man and paid considerably more in economy than I’ve paid this time in business!

Eek. You’re doing well. Keep the evidence. Hopefully Ryanair won’t try it on but in case you have to take any further steps this is good stuff to have.
Was it a case for compensation as well, as does not sound like they gave you 14 days notice? Or are they relying on presumably flights to F being reduced by air traffic control due to French strikes so they got told to cancel some?

You miss the point – you only need one bag each – one that works for all of them.
I just noticed amex dining on my gold card says it’s taking a break until Ist August
Can anyone tell me if this is a normal suspension of benefit

?It’s not a permanent benefit, so no ‘suspension’. It comes and goes and the % can change.
