    Good morning from the Chase Sapphire Lounge (via Priority Pass) at LaGuardia. It was a pleasant experience. Food was nice, with a selection of small plates on offer and a limited table service menu. Full bar and a relaxed environment. It felt like there was plenty of space for the number of guests in the lounge. Pretty relaxed overall. I think Priority pass give one free use per year.

    Flying a domestic flight to Chicago (ORD). Despite being in Ubited First they do not offer lounge access in the United lounge. You do get access to Air Canada lounge opposite. Quite basic by lots of space and seats.

    Haven’t flown United since I was a child. Pretty HfP days so I was in economy.

    Hi All I’ve booked a compact SUV for Vancouver @ £50/day for 3rd week of July using Amex CDP. Everything else was double the price. Is someone a regular Vancouver visitor and knows if the price will improve? should i keep checking? any tips? thanks

    Had some small improvements for my last two bookings, hire car pickup at the airport can be a bit chaotic.

    @strickers
    thanks. Chaotic how?

    Can anyone who holds the Hilton Honors Plus debit card advise whether Gold status really is awarded instantly (as advertised), or does the card have to arrive and be activated first?

    Someone posted quite recently that their gold status was showing very soon after approval and definitely before the card arrived.

    Just to follow up and for future reference

    It looks like it is supposed to be on card activation only. However I discovered the first step in the card activation process is to add your Hilton account number… so I am now showing Gold!

    Air Canada lounge access with a United F boarding pass? Do you have Star Alliance status? I was of the understanding United F got you no lounge access at all. Same for AA and Delta

    No status. Lady at the desk of United Club lounge suggested I go to Air Canada lounge (directly opposite) as they are both Star Alliance. They allowed access without issue.
