I’ll kick off with a question on airline status acquisition for the HfP hivemind:
Just discovered one of the draw backs to the Barclays upgrade voucher with Mrs GGT having earned her own one and then both of us successfully using for the recent BKK BA J Avios availability … she doesn’t have any status but previously this wasn’t an issue for seat selection as all 2-4-1 bookings were via my account. BA want £90 each way to ensure she sits next to me. She is not sure it is worth it and I cannot disagree!
What are the current sweet spots for easy(ier) status ? I know about the Royal Jordanian route but are there any others? She doesn’t have any currently that we can leverage but should be achieving VS silver after our Vegas redemption flights next month.
