Thanks @Richie. At the moment, the seat plan is looking like the old ying-yang style, so no chance of Club Suite for us.
BA33 is the old layout unfortunately!
Are you tied to BA metal, if not, have you considered QR going east?
Not quite tied, but we are using a Barclays upgrade voucher to go. QR coming back.
Interestingly, I’ve just noticed the upgrade offer only appears on the desktop, not in the app. App actually shows no upgrade possible, likely because of the Barclays voucher used.
What do people think about BA upgrade from J to F from LHR to KUL for £800pp, one way? Worth it, or not?
Someone managed to upgrade J to F on that flight a week ago for £400 pp?
I saw that last week, but couldn’t find the thread to add to it. We might consider it at that price, but the price offered to us seems a bit beyond what we would be prepared to do.
That example just goes to show, how volatile prices can be, just a week apart!
I think that was @Aston100 and it wasn’t actually possible to buy the upgrade in the end.
Just wasted over an hour trying to book a multi city BA holiday, fails at the final screen. Phoned up the gold line, they can’t help with BA holidays. phoned BA holidays, after a loonngg time on hold they can’t manage to book it unless they put one of the transatlantic flights into first, which bumps up the cost too much. Seats definitely available in business and they can see that. Best advice they can give is to try again tomorrow. Can book exactly the same flights through Expedia for the same cost, though would have to pay for the hire car separately. Booking through BAH to get the tier points.
Simple transatlantic trip starting in one European city and ending in another, outbound and return via LHR.
So frustrating!
