    Update on YourParkingSpace complaint whereby my £80 booking at the Moxy Bath Road was cancelled (by them) with 3 weeks until the booking… and suitable alternatives are now much more expensive:

    – Support email address no longer works (not monitored)
    – Submitted complaint again on a webform
    – Received a template mail saying ‘oops sometimes life happens’ and 20% off the next booking
    – Submitted complaint on webform stating that is not satisfactory
    – Received a slightly more tailored mail giving a £50 credit for a booking made in next 60 days (hopefully just booked and not booked and parked in 60 days), in addition to the 20% off.

    On this occasion, I have opted for 2 one way hire cars, incurring maybe £100 additional cost in the end… but suits me better than the parking options available.

    At no point did an explanation about their ‘Booking Guarantee’ arise – so this is very much a mirage.

    @Travel-Strong – unfortunately YourParkingSpace is an unreliable operator and guarantees absolutely nothing. I think the supposed booking guarantee is only for a space that turns out not to be available on the day, nothing to do with a booking cancellation with advance notice. Your contract is with the space owner not YPS. It’s all a big mess and this not as cheap as it might appear.
