Tomorrow I am going to book two business class seats on a KLM flight from Birmingham to Amsterdam through Virgin as it is much cheaper than KLM!
Am I right in thinking that the booking will appear on my Flying Blue or KLM account? Are there any pit falls to watch out for?Any pointers please? Looking at booking business class flights to Phuket from Manchester for end November but unsure if I should leave it to nearer the tome? Anyone who normally travels that direction have any suggestions of when flights may be cheapest?
You have left it a bit late! I’d start with Skyscanner or Google flights, to get an idea.

Are there any pit falls to watch out for?Assuming you mean with Virgin Points (because VS can’t sell you a cash ticket for a KLM flight), you’ll have a Virgin passenger locator record and ticket number from them. You should be able to manage it from your KLM account with the locator record.
You sbould earn a few Virgin TPs and Points for it, but unlikely you’ll be able to credit anything to KLM.

Still faffing about and not moved the beechcraft yet after four hours, apparently passengers in the terminal losing patience with the lengthy delay.
Thanks to those who commented on the Dalaman lounge earlier in the week, you were all right – very underwhelming ! glad we stocked up on snacks to take in with us. Next trip is from Marrakesh, should I expect similar ? recent reviews on line are a little more positive but not massively.

The state of the few boxes of strawberries I have had this year, even the UK ones, I feel this could only be an improvement. If they are sweet they are as hard as rock and if you leave them out to soften, you turn your back and they have grey stuff growing on them 🙁
Is it just me or is there a BA IT issue? Trying to book LON-EDI return. I’m SILVER but every flight option I select is trying to charge me for seat selection (ex LHR or LCY). Associated frustration – I was initially trying to book with AVIOS last night but every time I got to the final payment step it failed saying that the flights had sold out since I started my booking. I am also occasionally seeing different styles for the booking pages depending on when this whole process fails, and on (what I assume is) the old style pages the pricing is lower by a few GBP than it is on the new style pages. Anyone with a similar experience yesterday/today?
Just do what I did a couple of weeks ago when I got the same seat selection issue – dont select a seat, complete the purchase then go into manage my booking and select the seats you want free of charge
Lots of real Club World availability LHR-CPT in Q1 of next year. I’ve moved our Johannesburg outbound to Cape Town this afternoon after a SeatSpy alert. The agent said I was the third call she’d taken in last half hour doing the same.

I seem to recall you making similar comments after the incident at Southend! This is why they don’t get random members of the general public without any knowledge of the situation (or indeed impatient passengers in the terminal) to make decisions and leave that to the AAIB and other informed parties.
