Flying BA in economy out of Heathrow T3 on Friday morning. I would normally go to Cathay F lounge but time I am travelling with two children under 12 (neither has status). Can I access any lounge in T3 (guest 1 + pay for 1)? Any success in asking nicely at the lounge?
@tical I would ask nicely at whichever airline lounge you have status with. As BA Gold I have had success in the past with two small guests instead of one large one, if they aren’t too busy.

I looked at it, didn’t fancy any of the hotels at the basic level and booked the Embassy Suites for cash instead. The price difference was £5-10. AA redemption and I was only in Dohar for about 10 hours overnight.
I was looking at the Hilton on the Pearl. Were there for 70ish hours but land from Hong Kong at 4am so think using the stopover you pay per 24 hours not calendar day unless it’s the same with all hotel bookings there? I’ll have to email and check. It’s about £70 a night cheaper than elsewhere too I think and includes breakfast. Maybe I’ll have a bit more of a shop around before I commit.
Second question for anyone with the Virgin Paid card, I’ve just received it today, my flying club is linked but do I need to link it to Virgin Red? Is there any advantage to this? Just after the voucher really as hoping for LAS-MAN next year but with the price of every ticket that’s dropped so far being astronomical anyway might end up in PE.
Just got a ‘refer a friend and you’ll both get 500 avios’ offer in the avios app. My OP is sitting opposite me we are both in the UK. Sent him the referral link to download avios app but he now gets a message saying ‘this offer is not available in your country.’Any ideas?
