I am flying Thursday, Faro to Heathrow and then Heathrow to Riyadh. Currently quoted 1300EUR for Club Europe and then World Traveler Plus. Plenty of seat availability on both flights.
My question is will the 1300 likely be lower upon online check in tomorrow? Or will this be best price? Any tips much appreciated.
I am also only getting a cash upgrade option. Would I potentially get an Avios option at any point?
An airport upgrade will almost always be cheaper than anything offered before then, but of course may not be available. It comes down to the usual choice of whether you’d be more unhappy at paying a bit more than you needed to or missing out completely if you think it’s currently a decent price.
Anything is possible, but additional reward seats tend to pop up more than a couple of days in advance (and are also subject to availability based on your current ticket class).
I think £1300 is a lot, and probably not worth it for the short-haul leg (unless you want lounge access and more luggage). If there’s plenty of WTP availability, I would personally ask what they can do for you at the airport just for the long-haul sector.
