China Eastern Booking via Virgin

Hi

Has anyone booked with China Eastern before via Virgin using points?

I’ve made a domestic China flightvbooking through Virgin but currne China Eastern website not recognising any on the booking information in the manage booking section. I’m using the China Eastern specific booing reference provided by Virgin.

If anyone has done this type of booking before, how did it go in practice? Were you able to check in online? Were you able to select seats in advance? Were you able to manage the booking online? How did things go at the airport?

@BrianN – per my earlier post on another of the threads, no, booking these Chinese domestic flights through third party airlines is fraught with difficultly! The MU website will let you manage some aspects for alien airline bookings but it’s not easy!
