We were in the Gatwick BA lounge yesterday, which puts the Heathrow ones to shame. Feels like a proper lounge with well motivated staff. However lots of warm freshly baked scones and oceans of jam, but no clotted cream! Apparently they had a run on the cream and their whole supply was exhausted! I suggested they send someone down to M and S to pick some up but no one had the authority to action this and they weren’t keen on me doing it either (which I understand), I Just hope the scones weren’t wasted.
BA have deleted the Gatwick to Vegas and Gatwick to JFK services from next summer’s schedule so there should be more room and more cream next summer.
