I was under the impression that all the 777s flying to JFK out of Heathrow had note been retrofitted with Club Suite.
Just wanted to share a data point that on today’s 2pm flight, they’re still running the ying-yang. So if this is important to you, I suggest checking the layout of your potential flight carefully before choosing
Yes I was under that impression too. Didn’t they announce that in an IAG investor call? Very poor form. It’s night and day the difference in product. I’ll continue to steer clear till they’ve sorted themselves out. United are another one engaged in this; fake Polaris regularly replacing true Polaris on their DUB-EWR route with no automated alert to warn those with seats selected already. Despite flaunting their ‘class-leading’ Polaris out of DUB.
A BA staffer told me that ever since they’d starting advertising ‘all NYC is Club Suite’ the number of actual services with Club Suite has fallen …
It’s something they try to do but given the still relatively limited number of planes with CS sometimes they do need to substitute.
They changed my 2pm flight in January a couple of days before. I only realised because the seat map changed. Most people wouldn’t likely even notice. It was CS when I booked the week before.
Same day change (if available) may be your salvation but there not always possible / ideal.
Agreed; what’s ideal is waiting till they’ve retrofitted the entire fleet. I’d stick with AA ex-LHR till then (if you must do OW direct)
