Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Club World to Sydney

  • 4 posts

Back in May when BA made the transition to the new reward seat model, I was sat ready and waiting with a bloated Avios account. My wife and I booked club world return seats for 22/4 – 13/5 this year, and looked forward to making the trip!

However, we can no longer go – and will need to cancel these in the near future. I know that cancelling reward seats doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ll land back on the open market…but before I click cancel, I wanted to make sure fellow HfP readers were poised and ready if they did!

Is anyone in the market, and have a specific time that they want to be on the phone/website?

As you say yourself the system doesn’t always work like that.

Absolutely no guarantee they will go back into the pot and even if they do it’s not always instantaneous.

And with SYD the rewards can be priced as the four individual legs so for example the SIN-SYD leg could be re-release but none of the others.

The flight isn’t looking too busy so it’s possible – but per the other thread @Rob is correct – the nearer the date it gets the less likely it is to happen. But no harm in trying !

All understood – just trying to increase the odds (however marginally) of a HfP community win 👍🏼
