New member here. Please don’t hang me for asking as no doubt it has been asked before; I tried to search previous threads but could not find the answer. I have never booked a reward flight or used vouchers before!
Is it possible to combine the above vouchers / are they applied in a specific order? I guess what I am really asking is whether I need 2 barclays upgrade vouchers if using a 241 from the BA Amex (paid) for a long haul return flight for 2 people.
In a perfect world I would be booking a return trip in premium economy, upgrading to business with 1 voucher then applying 241 but I am assuming it does not work that way.
Getting the vouchers is a way off, just planning to see if I need to maybe get Mrs Lewbo signed up for some reward accounts rather than wait 2 years for vouchers.
TIA
Unfortunately, you can’t stack vouchers in that way. Nothing stopping you from booking the two legs separately and applying different upgrade vouchers to them (although the Barclay vouchers can only be used on flights leaving the UK).
The only way to fully use both of your own vouchers on the same trip would be to make 2 separate bookings; use the 241 to get 50% off the avios required for your ticket, and the Barclays voucher to upgrade your partner (that one can be used for someone other than yourself).
Given you’re talking about a simple return for two people, your best value is just to use the 241. Given the two vouchers don’t combine, adding in the barclays voucher just to use it doesn’t make sense and will cost you more Avios anyway. If you’re acquiring both vouchers anyway then plan to use them separately (unless you have a particularly complex itinerary).

Yep will do, was hoping (but doubtful) I could apply both to make the miles go further but as not possible will use the 241 for the next trip and then probably wait for the 2nd barclays voucher to upgrade another long haul for the 2 of us.
Out of interest, any advice on how the more complicated itineraries work alongside the points, vouchers etc. am guessing it becomes even more complicated if certain vouchers cannot be used for flights departing outside UK?!? (I want to keep it simple first time but open to being more adventurous next time lol)
You need to read the articles and threads here on using the 241 (especially the long “booking the return” thread). The Barclays voucher is simpler because you have to start in the UK, fly on BA, and use max avios/min cash for the payment.

Itineraries get complex due to what you want to do more than due to the vouchers, and advise would only make sense given a real world situation. The vouchers themselves don’t push you towards complexity in most cases.
