Forums Payment cards American Express Companion voucher expiry [after upgrading to BAPP]

  • 1 post

    Hi,
I have recently upgraded my basic blue BA American Express card to the black premium one and was hoping I could now extend my companion voucher earnt whilst having the blue from 1 year to 2 years now I have received my premium black card, is this possible and if so whom do I contact ?
I do hope this makes sense.
    Thanks

Welcome! Vouchers which have already been issued cannot be extended. You’re stuck with one year.

The secret is to upgrade when you hit £9,900 of spending, so that your voucher is issue with two years validity.

The voucher from the blue card is also only valid in economy. You can start earning the better voucher once your card year re-starts.

    A Bond fan, I presume?
