Hi All,
I recently used the AMEX BA PP to get the companion voucher and when called to cancel the card – the executive informed me that in order to pay for the taxes of the flight – I need to use the BA Amex card in my name. He suggested it could be the free card as well. I could not find any information towards this end in any T&C or posts.
Closest I got was another points website with the following text
“An Amex Card must be used to pay for the taxes of the flight. However the payment does not need to be on the Amex card the voucher is on, neither does it have to be in the voucher holders name so long as it is an Amex card.”
Can anyone corroborate or share their experience
Forgive me but you can’t have looked very far 😂. Hundreds of mentions on this site. In a nutshell, you can use any Amex, even one that isn’t yours! This handy guide might help:
