Hi all, I have 4 BAPP companion vouchers and approximately 1million avios points, between my wife and my parents. (I’m new to this points stuff but I think I’ve done well to accumulate this much in a year)
I’d like to experience first or business with my family but I just don’t know what the best redemption would be whilst also paying as least in taxes as possible.
I’d potentially like to visit Dubai, Malaysia or Singapore or Riyadh, willing to take extra flights if it works out better but I just can’t seem to be able to search multi city on seatspy etc. I’d be super grateful if people can give me some ideas around potential routes etc.
Looking to travel after the 14th of April.
Thanks in advance guys
I would suggest either Hong Kong or Singapore but those are real hard to get but possible. You have to read up on the 241 thread in British Airways section as your best bet is getting them at 355 days out when they are released for next year as itll be impossible for this.
You got a good haul there and the 4x vouchers will help. Iberia is another option to use 241 with lower Avios in business and taxes to boot. You seem to want to head East and this only really includes Madrid to Doha at 64k Avios for 2x with voucher or 119k for two to Tokyo with voucher (starts Nov 24)
Have a read of this thread to get an idea of how many Avios you will need with BA

Make sure you’re aware of who needs to travel on the companion vouchers, whether you can use more than one on the same booking, etc, if the plan is to travel with parents. There’s a great series of articles on here covering all things avios/BAPP.
How did you manage to accumulate 1million avios in a year, if you don’t mind me asking?

Trying to hitting bonuses, referrals, the bonuses themselves and x that by four. Its very feasible. Im very green behind the ears and between 2 of us have hit like 600-700k.
