we will have companion voucher and are wanting to go to Honolulu. Is this possible or will i need to book separate legs? any suggestions? if it is possible how many avios on non premium day thank you 🙂
You can use your voucher to fly BA to a US gateway city and thence to Hawaii
Avios required for those can be seen here

You could use avios to book a seat on AA but you’d need to do some dummy bookings but note that BA can only book the AA save rate and there may be limited availabiity. Of course cash tickets are also an option.
These would be separate bookings.
I would suggest flying to Dallas FW with the voucher (they also have first class from LHR).
From there, you would need to do a separate booking to Hawaii, but from Dallas it’s a 787 with great seats, instead of average seats from any other US airport to Hawaii.
The biz seats are a lay flat bed on their 787’s.
Have a look at San Diego too, usually a decent amount of availability. You can then fly Alaska Airlines using Avios to Honolulu. They also fly to Maui, you could start in Honolulu but then also see the other Islands. Maui to San Diego is 16000 Avios and £4.40 in economy and booked through BA.
