Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Complaints – option 3

  • 1,206 posts

It occurred to me reading this:

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/advice/british-airways-failed-booking-no-show/

which describes an experience I am sure I have read about in the forum, that the other option beside CEDR and MCOL could be emailing around the press.

    Has anyone done this?

The formula is always the same: stonewalled by the airline until a journalist contacts them and all of the sudden it’s a computer or human error. Magically the company is contrite and their ‘surprising’ mistake is corrected with some bonus ‘good will’.

But I have no idea if this is just a lottery and the Torygraph/Times/Daily Hell journo has to pick one from thousands.

Yes of course they cherry pick the stories they are going to take to a company – they all have their agendas and they pick cases that meet that.

Ever wondered why the two basic groups they help are “hard working families” or ailing pensioners and very few in between.

And if they pick the wrong one the company will just stop dealing with them.
