Maybe I’m daft for “leaving points on the table” here, but is there concern after all of the trouble with Creation that using this will cause issues with either Amex or with the underlying card?

I’d love to double dip and repay my Amex with my Barclaycard, but I worry about extra fees on the Barclaycard and the risk of being shut down. Overthinking or legitimate concern?

Bendy has been erratic. I wanted to pay in to HL today with Bendy. Didn’t work. Tried with my Monzo proper debit card. Didn’t work either. Is it about the Mastercard infrastructure, I wonder.

Nobody knows because there is no official policy here either by Amex or Barclays.
The fear is understandable but I don’t like this “aura” of treating Bendy as if it is something illegitimate. We don’t “get by” using it, it is just it doesn’t seem to bother the big players that much just yet. Creation was small, left the market practically.
Remember how decisively Amex took action to block bendy. Did they shut down your account? No.

I paid my Amex with Fronted/Metal yesterday – I got an error in the Amex app but the Curve transaction didn’t decline. Left it 30 mins and the payment appeared on my Amex transactions. First month of trying it so need to wait to see if the points post for it in my upcoming statement.

Monthly statement landed this morning – full points awarded for Curve payments to Amex. Happy days.

Does the points benefit really out weigh the cost of metal?

It is just simple arithmetic, isn’t it?

It stacks up for me. I travel a fair bit for work and have free time at weekends abroad, so the £600 foreign ATM and 1% cash back plus the points return on paying Amex works for me.
