Discuss today's stories:
Has anyone else experienced this issue in the past? I am trying to sign up for an Iberia Plus account but am continuously getting the message:
“The registration could not be completed. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, contact our Customer Services.”
Iberia CS appears to be non-existent. How do I get around this?! Thanks
Clear your cookies, try a different browser, do you have any special characters in your email or password…
Nothing specific but that’s what I would try!

Thanks for alerting me to the special character issue. I’d tried clearing cookies, different browsers and even trying to register on the mobile app! After all that, turns out Iberia simply don’t recognise the % sign as a special character in one’s password!!
Can I ask off the back of this question, how do I transfer avios from an exec club account to Iberia plus. I have an account with Iberia but cannot see a way to book using my exec club avios balance. Thank you.
You can do it from either the BA or Iberia site. Just log in and go to ‘combine my avios’, it’s simple for most. If you run into trouble there are other workarounds, but try the simple way first.

Sounds suspiciously easy, thanks!
Thought it would be too easy, I just get an error message telling me the session has timed out. Tried for a couple of days now…what are the other methods please?
Just tried myself, couldn’t log in to BA, but logged into Iberia and transferred fine from there.
Alternative method is explained here –

On Iberia I get “ Sorry, you currently don’t meet the terms and conditions to combine Avios.”
I now see that to combine via the Iberia account in need to meet the following criteria
“the Iberia Plus account is 90 days old and the Iberia Plus has ‘earned’ at least 1 Avios
The easiest way to have the account ‘earn’ an Avios is to transfer 1,000 American Express Membership Rewards points. You could also credit a BA or oneworld flight to the account or transfer some hotel points.”
I meet condition 1 but not 2 but I’m clearly not clever enough to understand how to credit a flight to the account and I don’t believe I have any Amex or hotel points.
Just to check, can you freely move Avios between the two balances? Even, say, if you opted to transfer some Avios form BAEC into Iberia Plus but then decided you no longer wanted to redeem – could you move them back to BA without penalty? Thanks

Yes you can move back and forth as many times as you like (providing you meet the Iberia 90 day rule)
