Planning to book 2 rooms at Shangri-la The Shard in July through FHR via Amex platinum. 1 for wife and I and 1 for the grown up kids.
My wife and I are each others supplementary card holders on:
1 x Amex platinum (I am the main cardholder)
2 x BAPP cards (1 card each that the other one is a supplementary card holder on)
1 x Amex cashback card (I am the main cardholder)
Plan is to book 1 room using my Amex platinum and 1 room using my wife’s Amex platinum supplementary card so we both get the $100 credit and breakfast per room.
Amex then have spend £500 and get £100 cashback on the BAPP cards and also on the cashback card.
If we do 6 x transactions of £500 on each of the main and supplementary cards that we have (cashback and BAPP cards), and then pay off the balance with the Amex platinum card – will we then qualify for £600 cashback?
A bit ambitious I know, but I felt worth exploring!
Thanks in advance for any advice given
And then people wonder why there are fewer Amex offers around these days…
Works fine, mate of mine used 8 cards on one stay recently. I used three on a Marriott stay last week (and only when I got back did I see it on my wife’s card too).
