How do refunds to Curve Card work?

I’ve had a Curve transaction refunded and it looks like the funds have gone back to the original underlying card which isnt “in focus” in the curve app. How does this work? Is this Curve who have done this, because I assumed the underlying card is hidden from the retailer.
Yes, Curve will refund the transaction to the original card it came from… if they let you buy things on a credit card and refund to a debit card, you wouldn’t be the first to find out about it!
It’s always been like this and logically that’s the only way it can be.
If they can’t match the transactions they refund to Curve Cash, also sometimes they don’t even register the refunds at all and you have to chase Curve which is rather pathetic
