I have in the past year, taken out a Platinum card, and a Virgin card, and pocketed the miles
I am beginning to think the best approach now is to cancel both, and wait 2 years…
In the meantime I will probably have 2-4 flights to India with Virgin, and 1-3 flights to the US.
Are there any other point collecting strategies I am missing?
Also, is there any debit card account that offers an indirect way to collect Virgin points? I think I have run through all the credit cards?

Before cancelling anything apply for the next card you want (just in case you are declined).
In your case, I would recommend the Barclays Avos card next. Also there is no two year wait for virgin – I think six months is sufficient.
