This is the first time I will be using my Avios to book flights and I want to go Japan. My understanding that flights come available to book 355 days before. I can currently only see availability up to 30 Nov 25 which is 334 days. Do long haul flights get released differently? or is the flight schedule not released yet? I’m confused why December isn’t showing yet.
You should be able to see up to mid-December, though it could be that all those seats have been taken already.
You need to do plenty of reading up on here about how to maximise your chances of getting such sought-after seats, there’s a lot to take into account.

So, looking at SeatSpy, seats are available up to December 20th next year, but there are only economy & PE left on most dates, and the odd business class seat. So if you’re searching for 2 seats in business class, it’ll come back with no availability as they’ve mostly been snapped up on release.
If you search for economy, any seats left in economy, PE and CW will show in the results.
You could also look on the Iberia website to see if there’s any availability from Madrid which you can also book with avios.

I was using both the Avios app link and Avios website link and iv just realized when trying to search from the Avios links it only shows up to end of November but when you try the Ba website it allows you to book in December 2025 thank you.
