A few weeks ago, I applied for the Hilton card, and everything went smoothly. I logged into the app, updated my HH number, and my status was upgraded to Gold. However, I still haven’t received my debit card, and my trip starts tomorrow. When I sent them an email a few days after applying, they informed me that it would take 7 days for the card to arrive.
I contacted them a few days back, and they are now requesting additional details. The issue is that I’m leaving for my summer holiday tomorrow, and I wanted to use the card for foreign exchange transactions and to meet my spending target. Unfortunately, they’ve already charged me the annual fee.
I requested that they cancel my card, but they informed me that they can’t do so because I’ve activated my HH status.
As a result, I won’t hit my forex spending target, after this holiday, I won’t be able to use the card anymore.
I’m seeking suggestions on how I can cancel my card and receive my annual fee back.
I suspect you will need to go down a formal complaint route.
“I’m seeking suggestions on how I can cancel my card and receive my annual fee back.”
But not on them rescinding your gold status?
