I noticed that there’s a couple of design hotels listed in Jamaica, but these aren’t showing up as available for booking via the Marriott app/website. Is this a similar situation to Mr & Mrs Smith via IHG, whereby the hotels can choose whether to opt-in (or not)?
Yes, only some participate in Bonvoy. Though oddly Marriott did purchase full control of the brand a few years ago, it does not seem to have changed this.
