    Interesting — this (https://www.headforpoints.com/2022/01/29/hilton-status-match-4/) offer?

Good to hear the status upgrade is processing quickly. I also started a new account for the status challenge (since existing Golds can’t take part…) and have my 12th stay this weekend.

The Diamond status is supposed to run until March 2024, but my question is what do I need to do to remain Diamond? Surely a stay next week won’t already count towards requalifying will it?

Thanks for any info on this.

If your status is valid until March 2024, then you need to stay 60 nights / 30 stays / spend US$12000 pretax in the calendar year 2023 to maintain it beyond that date.

I think that your 43rd night onwards in the calendar year 2022 would count as 2023 nights too. Stays and spend don’t roll over

Thanks for the clear summary. Makes sense.

I’ve just hit the target of 12 nights and almost immediately received an email from Hilton upgraded status to Diamond, great.
But, the upgrade is until March 2023, the original offer was until 2024 so I’m not sure if I’ve missed something here. I’ve been very impressed with the speed and accuracy of Hilto Honors so far, far better than IHG. Any otheres seen this?

Yes I also noticed this with some disappointment.
I haven’t queried it though as the app says 9 more stays to keep diamond, which is fewer than I expected, and definitely on the cards for me before the summer is over.

It’s Hilton IT. It’ll only ever say your status will last until the end of the current period, even if it’s due to last for longer. In April it’ll update until the following year

I already have Gold via AMEX Plat, does anyone know if I can still apply for this offer.

No you can’t. You need to open a new account, which obviously isn’t necessarily convenient. I can confirm that it works though!

Once you’ve got the status on the new account, you can ask to merge it with your old account if you want to keep the account history in terms of number of years membership and lifetime status etc.

Hi, sorry just want to clarify, does this mean your Diamond status will transfer to your old account number and you lose the new account, or will your history transfer to your new (Diamond) account and you lose the old one?
