Hi all, is there a ‘standard offering’ for Diamond members at hotels with no Executive Lounge (in this case, Hilton London Kensington)? Is it normal to get drinks vouchers or something similar? If not given, is it reasonable to ask? Many thanks
Did the lounge here get closed? It wasn’t too impressive anyway from what I remember..
Generally there is no “standard offering” if a property doesn’t have a lounge at all.
When lounges were temporarily closed, the standard offering was drinks vouchers for the bar
In my experience when there is no lounge at all listed, you don’t get anything most times. On the rare occasion I have received drinks vouchers though they don’t say that this is due to a lack of a lounge.
I don’t believe asking for drinks vouchers due to a non existent lounge will really get you anything

Agree on this, I have typically found that I have received drinks vouchers in DoubleTree and Hilton brands if they have not had lounges.
This is based on four hotels I visited recently.
One of those was actually at the Hilton Kensington about four weeks ago so guessing you should get the same 🙂
Thanks for the replies folks – I haven’t stayed at this hotel before but just made an assumption it doesn’t have a lounge as it isn’t featured on their website.
Appreciate your help 🙂
A lounge isn’t a requirement for a property to be a Hilton or DT and there is no requirement to provide anything. Many hotels do give drinks vouchers, or did before covid and some have started doing so again. Sometimes you get snacks or even a small meal in the restaurant to go with the drinks, sometimes the drinks are “unlimited” within reason as long as you make yourself known to the bartender. Sometimes you get fruits / cakes in the room which can be replenished, in the past hotels have given me full bottles of wine which I wish I could have taken back on the plane…
A diamond may well get a decent upgrade in room, even if nothing else.
Hilton Kensington, Hilton Olympia and Hilton Wembley all had lounges pre pandemic but it looks like they have been closed for good. Pity because that was a major attraction for a Diamond of staying in those properties.
Sometimes you might get a drinks voucher but just down to luck there’s no entitlement
Don’t forget your two bottles of water!!
Do many people really care about these? The only time I really need a disposable (recyclable) plastic water bottle is when I’ve just come off a flight and the hotel has no kettle or such poor plumbing that the tap water is undrinkable/unsafe.
