DP – went to IHG website/app (without signing in) to check availability and prices on two different devices – prices matched. However, when I signed into my account few minutes later identical terms/room type/dates, one hotel was GBP2pn more and another was GBP10pn. Both UK. Booked without signing in until I reached payment page – all fine.
Out of interest repeated the search the next day this time no difference in price between signing into account or not and still the same price as previous day. Bit weird.
Whilst the sums are not huge, might be something to look out for.
Which hotel?
Maybe your first device had reserved the last room available at that price and your second device was only given the next price level.
In some countries (where IHG thinks your device is located at the time of booking) taxes and fees may not be included in the price displayed on the app but they are on the website.
