Hi
I have given my adult son a supplementary gold card from my Amex platinum account. He is wanting to book a number of Hilton hotels. Can he receive hilton honours gold from his card or would I need to book in my name? Is this even possible. I’m trying to give him upgrade perks etc al la Hilton Gold.
Thanks.
No.
You can, however, pay Amex £295 per year to issue additional supplementary Platinum cards which do comes with Priority Pass, insurance, the hotel status cards etc.
We do this in the HfP office on my Businesss Platinum as a staff perk.
Assuming your partner has your current free Platinum supp, you could also think about reallocating. Does your partner really need a Platinum supp? They’d be covered by your Priority Pass, travel insurance, hotel status etc if you were travelling together anyway. Perhaps trade your partner down to a Gold and give your son the free Platinum supp?
