Two days ago I downgraded from platinum to gold. I actually have a business platinum, so didn’t make sense to have both business and personal platinum cards.
The new BAPP offer came live today. I haven’t held one of those for at least 3 years, so I decided to apply. I was rejected. I have a feeling it might have something to do with having only coincidentally downgraded yesterday.
Is it worth trying to reapply in 28 days? Or is there another rule that I’m not aware of that means I cannot apply?
That can happen. I had similar issues applying for the BAPP and then requesting a downgrade from Gold CC to ARCC.
Give it a bit to cool off, and try again. If not, there’s always future offers 🙂
When you downgraded from platinum to gold, did they offer a retention bonus?
