Hi, any experience on what happens if visiting Dubai on a 96 hour visa and the flight gets delayed by a few hours (Emirates)
Will they penalise you heavily, request you to pay the 30 day visa fee or be understanding and ‘let you off’ as its not in your control?

The visa will be issued by Emirates

    Hello – anyone can advise?

If it’s delayed by a few hours, it won’t matter as you would’ve gone through immigration already…

My worry is that (although unlikely) the night before the flight is delayed by more than a couple of hours, as the tourist visa (96 hours) is being utilised as much as possible.

I wouldn’t worry too much. Emirates will probably just get you another 96 hour visa.

What’s the difference in price? Is it significant enough that it’s worth the worry before and the hassle after if it does get moved?

Its only another $60 but my point is that the website says 4 days which can be interpreted differently from 96 straight hours from arrival
If I can avoid $60 for the sake of a few hours or misunderstanding then.. fab

    96‑hour 4 days from arrival date US$30

Also just found this grace period info online: (better to validate with somebody though)

    Overstaying your visa
Tourists and visit visa holders have a grace period of 10 days. If a tourist or a visitor overstays beyond the grace period, he will be fined with

AED 200 for the first day of overstay
    AED100 each consecutive day
    AED 100, as service fees.
